My longest running class, Slow Flow Yoga & Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation, is designed to calm and balance the central nervous system.
Class usually begins in a comfortable seated position. You will be led through a breath awareness exercise and learn how to use the breath to find your calm, quiet center.
You will then be led through a process of identifying something you would like to see different or better in your life.
A personal mantra will be created and you will learn how to use your mantra, breath, and movement to consciously create positive change in your life.
You will learn to link long deep breaths to slow flowing movement, creating a moving meditative experience.
You will learn techniques to manage stress and pain, and how to be less reactionary when feeling challenged.
About half way through the class, you will transition to a comfortable supported position on your back where we will then travel through a Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation.
It is here where we will go to a place between being awake and being asleep, the “twilight zone” where we will work with the subconscious mind and your personal mantra to make positive changes on a deeper level.
90 minute classes are scheduled in 5 week blocks.
Pre-registration is required for each block.
